What is a deposit? A deposit refers to transferring digital assets from another exchange to the Coinate platform, similar to a bank transfer. A gives B a bank card number, and B goes to the bank with that number to deposit money into A's designated card—this process is analogous to a deposit.
What conditions must be met for a deposit? You need to complete identity verification (KYC) before depositing. To ensure the deposit arrives, the following conditions must be met:
Both the depositing and withdrawing parties must select the same 【coin】 and 【network】.
The amount must exceed the 【minimum deposit amount】 for the coin (check on the deposit page).
The 【contract address/token contract】 for the coin must match.
How to deposit? App: Tap the bottom-right 【Assets】 → 【Deposit】 → Select coin → 【Deposit】 → Select network → Copy the 【deposit address】 and provide it to the withdrawing party. Web: Click top-right 【Assets】 → 【Wallet】 → Select coin → 【Deposit】 → Select network → Copy the 【deposit address】 and provide it to the withdrawing party.
Is there a fee for depositing? No deposit fee is charged—the fee is paid by the withdrawing party.
How to view the deposit address? App: Tap bottom-right 【Assets】 → 【Deposit】 → Select coin → 【Deposit】 → Select network to view the corresponding deposit address. Web: Click top-right 【Assets】 → 【Wallet】 → Select coin → 【Deposit】 → Select network to view the corresponding deposit address.
How to view supported deposit networks on Coinate? App: Tap bottom-right 【Assets】 → 【Deposit】 → Select coin → 【Deposit】, scroll down the options to see all supported networks for that coin. Web: Click top-right 【Assets】 → 【Wallet】 → Select coin → 【Deposit】, scroll down the options to see all supported networks for that coin.
What is a “contract address/token contract”? The “contract address/token contract” is not your deposit/withdrawal address. It is a standard sequence number used to verify whether coins with the same name on different platforms are the same token.
Why hasn't my deposit arrived? On-chain deposits are not instant; arrival time depends on network miner/validator processing speed, which the platform cannot control. If your deposit exceeds the expected time and hasn't arrived, refer here.
Why can't I deposit or why did the deposit fail? Sorry to hear about the issue. Please check the main reasons for failed/unable deposits below:
Account frozen or restricted: Check your email (including spam) for messages from our team and follow the instructions promptly.
Deposit/withdrawal suspended: Wait for maintenance/upgrade completion before retrying. More details here.
Why is my deposit/withdrawal address shown as high-risk? If the platform prompts that the deposit address is high-risk, we recommend switching to a different address. If you're depositing to another platform/wallet and their provided address is flagged as high-risk, verify with them first or request an alternative address.
